| When we enter fully into the world of photography we discover that it is not only based on technology, mechanics and equipment. We are in the difficult situation of entering in the subjective world of the personal taste, the 'quasi art' and the rules -and the way to violate them-. Taking a photo is not only to know the camera and the light: it means knowing the rules that the human eye uses to see and watch, to assimilate and remember, to observe and photograph. And as always, everything has a beginning. Rules: Submitting arts, suggesting faves: The only thing you must remember is to not be exaggerated: only 2 (two) or 3 (three) pics per month. What will be submitted: Only photos. Photo manipulations and collages are accepted, but in any case a photo must remain a photo. Street, still life, architecture, portraits, nude...any genre: enough to represent the way you see the world (it's better if unusual). What matters is not the quality of your camera, the correct exposure and the technical perfection (but remember: you can break the rules when you KNOW the rules). Your eyes are important, your key to understanding the world! What we mean for point of view: With "point of view", we mean a subjective work aimed to represent the reality as you see it. Not enough a simple crooked horizon, a visual forcedly strange... but the study and research of a language that is understandable to all. "Viewpoint" is a synonym for "opinion" (at least in Italian language), and so: let us know your views through the lens of your camera! |
